The following shows wedding dresses I have been commissioned to make for various clients for their special occasions and some testimonials.
It is always lovely and much appreciated to receive photos of you wearing your wedding dresses on the day and I would love to be able to feature your dress on this page. Not only is it nice for me to get feedback from you but it also helps future brides to see what I can do and hear of your experience.
Amanda wanted to use her mum's silk wedding dress from the 1990's for her wedding but it needed a bit of modernisation and there were quite a few bad stains down a large section of the front skirt that would need to be removed. It also need a bit of tlc after being stored in a box for 30yrs.
The bodice fitted perfectly and Amanda wanted to keep this as it was. We removed the sleeves to give it a modern feel. I completely removed the skirt and took out half of the front section that had the stains. I then re-modelled the skirt to have a flat front instead of gathers and added pleats at the back to help keep the volume but make it lay flatter. There was also a big bow on the original dress which was removed.
Susie remodelled my mother's wedding dress so I could wear it for my wedding, and she did a wonderful job! From the initial consultation where we discussed ideas and options, to the final appointment when I could try on the finished dress, every time I saw Susie was a lovely experience. She really listened to me and understood what I wanted, and the result was a beautiful dress which fit perfectly, with amazing attention to detail - even with specially made buttons to match the originals perfectly. Thank you Susie for all your hard work!
Susie transformed my 1990s silk wedding dress for my daughter to wear. Susie absolutely took on board what my daughter wanted, nothing was too much trouble. The result was stunning and Susie was such a pleasure to deal with - probably the least stressful aspect of all the wedding arrangements!
Polly loves colour and wanted to incorporate colour into her wedding dress so we decided on a rainbow theme.
She wanted a fitted bodice with an illusion back and a full skirt with a bit of a train. She was going to be riding her horse and wanted the train to cover the back of the horse. She also wanted some lace to add the delicate brida touch
The base dress was made from a cappuccino coloured satin and then rainbow tulle was pleated over the front bodice and gathered into a full skirt. A further blush tulle circular skirt was added to give extra volume. Rainbow embroidered lace and bead motives were then added to the bodice front and back illusion tulle and finally beaded floral lace trim added to the front hem and bodice neckline.
Susie made a bespoke multi-coloured wedding dress for my daughter's wedding along with matching waistcoats for the groom; father of the bride and the bride's two year old son. From the first contact with Susie through to picking up the dress we received a professional service from someone who clearly takes a lot of pride in her work. Nothing was ever too much trouble and she was happy to accommodate all out requests and changes. I can't recommend Susie highly enough.
Michaela wanted a black wedding dress and was having trouble finding the dress of her dreams. She had a basic style in mind but just couldn't find it in black
We created the bodice with spaghetti straps using black satin and a beautiful black lace with very small flowers some of which were highlighted in silver. We added a full gathered black satin and tulle skirt with a train to give that princess feel.
I looked everywhere for the wedding dress of my dreams, I was given susie details & contacted her.
She was professional, caring & really did listen to every detail & idea of mine.
I can only speak highly of susie & her work she made my dreams come true with the dress of my dreams.
Everyone asked where I got my dress from? But when I said it was handmade they were shocked that it really was don’t to perfection & a high standard.
Susie thank you again so so much you are just truly amazing.
I made Natasha's stunning wedding dress and cape a few years ago, which you can see further down this page, so when she contacted me again about making a dress to be maid of honour for her sister-in-law I couldn't wait to work with here again.
After looking around at various styles there were a couple of elements that she wanted to include in her dress. So with these in mind I created this
Grecian style summer dress.
The style was very soft and floaty made from gorgeous soft pink crepe and chiffon fabrics. It had a one shoulder feature with pleats allowing the fabric to fall in soft folds down the dress creating volume. The cape sleeve helps to create a more floaty and stunning element to the dress. She looks absolutely stunning as always.
I could not recommend Susie enough for her tremendous work! In fact I have already recommended her to a friend, as I wouldn't go anywhere else. This is not my first time having Susie create something wonderful for me. She made my wedding dress back in 2018, which was absolutely beautiful and exactly what I wanted. I was then maid of honour for my sister in law in the summer. Having a few options in my mind (I liked two styles of Reiss dresses and wished they could merge into one!) neither were perfect. I contacted Susie again who was brilliant. She completely understood what I liked about one dress and what I liked about the other. She made me a stunning Grecian style summer bridesmaids dress, that was perfect. It was modern and just what I wanted! Made to a much higher standard than the originals. I had so many compliments that day, not that it was about me! Susie is talented, hardworking and more than reasonable. She really is the best, and this won't be the last time I call on her for her expertise.
Marilyn wanted two bridesmaids dresses and a flower girls dress made for her grand-daughters. She had seen a pattern she liked for the older bridesmaids and we used this with a keyhole back for the older one and a filled in back for the younger one. I then used one of my patterns for the flower girls dress.
The colour theme was a gorgeous kingfisher blue. I found this beautiful shantung for the two older bridesmaids and then the flower girl was made using ivory satin but she had a sash to match the other girls. I also made 3 cravats in the kingfisher blue for the groomsmen.
Susie made the bridesmaid dresses for my 3 granddaughters from scratch. She made the girls feel very relaxed when we went for fittings and adjusted the pattern to how the girls wanted them to look. When they were finished they looked like they had been purchased from a high end bridal store. I would have no hesitation in recommending Susie to any bride who needs a dress made or altered. On one occasion she even drove to London to fit one of the dresses which was above and beyond exceptional customer service . Thank you for making our experience stress free
When Suzi came to see me about making her wedding dress she had a bit of an idea of the style she wanted.
By trying on my mix and match sample tops and skirts to was able to finalise the right silhouette for her.
She decided on a v-neck bodice front and back made form satin and overlayed with guipure lace. Matched with a satin panelled skirt with a small train.
To finish off we added a beautiful crystal and pearl band at the waistline of the guipure lace bodice.
When Lynne got in touch asking if I could make her a purple wedding dress, my favourite colour, how could I refuse.
She wanted a swing style dress as they were learning a swing dance routine for their first dance.
We decided it would be fun to make the petticoat in a teal colour to tie in with the bridesmaids
She decided to go for a range of jewel colours for her bridesmaid dresses and we managed to find the exact fabric colours for her to send to her bridesmaids to get their dresses made locally to them.
Don't they look fabulous together
Sybill knew she wanted a high low hem to the skirt which needed to be soft and swishy so we made this from a soft satin overlayed with chiffon.
Being a petite frame the empire line bodice worked perfectly which was made from the ivory satin overlayed with sequinned lace with a v-neckline and had a full sleeve.
"I had already purchase a gown but could not fall in love with it even though it was exactly what I thought I wanted, Suzie very quickly identified it was the wrong fabric and did not fall right and the wrong colour for my skin tone. She very quickly selected fabrics, colours and style and made the most beautiful gown to complement my curves and colours. Everyone commented on how beautiful my dress is/was and i felt a million dollars on the day, so comfortable and swishy, sparkling yet sophisticated. Complex in some areas yet plain in others . I could not recommend Suzie and her skills highly enough. "
Sue wanted to have an outfit that made her feel special for her daughters wedding. She chose to have a top and pair of trousers made to fit her small frame perfectly.
In the end she settled on a soft floaty top attached to a cross over yoke made in a beautiful navy floral lace fabric over an ivory crepe for the top to match perfectly with her wide straight leg navy trousers .
"Susie is an extremely talented and professional dressmaker and was a delight to work with. Being petite, I had been unable to find anything in the mother of the bride range that suited me. Susie came up with some fantastic ideas and was able to create the perfect lace top and trouser outfit. I will definitely be returning to Susie when my second daughter marries and I have already recommended her to many of my friends. "
Erica's dress design changed slightly throughout the making process until we had the perfect style.
The bodice had a blousson chiffon top to give the floaty diaphanous feel, with a fitted crepe satin under bodice to create shape, with a boat shaped neckline and lace sleeves to match the skirt. It fastened with delicate covered buttons at the back.
For the skirt she went for a slightly fitted column shape made from crepe satin with a gorgeous beaded Guipure lace over layer. The waistband was finished off with a beautiful crystal and pearl trim.
Susie did a fantastic job in making my wedding dress. She was creative, endlessly patient and the final result was a beautiful dress. Her attention to detail is second to none and she made the whole process enjoyable I highly recommend anyone who wants a bespoke wedding dress to contact Susie and I am sure you will not be disappointed

Amy found her gorgeous silk chiffon Catherine Deane skirt but wanted it changed slightly. We made the underskirt fuller and added a small net petticoat to hold the skirt out and we also distribute the gathers evenly around the waist.
The next stage was to make a satin bodice with a sweetheart neckline and a v-neck lace overlay, with low back to attach to the skirt waistband to complete the dress.
Susie did an absolutely fantastic job of making my wedding dress earlier this year! I had found a sample Catherine Deane silk chiffon wedding skirt, which I loved, and was hoping to have a lace bodice made to turn it into a dress. After meeting Susie, I knew she was the person to do it - she completely understood what I had in mind and was really helpful, responsive and willing to accommodate every adjustment I asked for, no matter how small. She also did a brilliant job of altering the dresses for my two bridesmaids and is generally just a really lovely and friendly person to work with. My dress turned out even better than I could have imagined, thanks to Susie's incredible skill and vision, and was completely transformed from the original skirt that I brought to her. The quality of the finished dress was amazing and I was so thrilled to wear it for my wedding - I particularly loved swishing it around for our first dance! Thank you so much, Susie! :)

I loved working with this gorgeous bride in making her amazing dress and cape. She had a very clear vision of what she wanted.
The dess had simple clean lines to show off the cape.
The main focal point was the ivory satin cape. It was very full with shaped shoulders and a small train at the back.
"Susie was incredible I knew from the word go she totally understood what I wanted for my wedding dress. I wanted something different a long silky gown and floor length cape with powerful shoulder pads! And Susie did just that. It was so great to see it in all of the stages. Never once did she try to change the original concept and showed real enthusiasm to do something a bit different. I went to one dress shop on the high street and it just wasn’t for me. As soon as I met Susie I felt full of confidence that she would be able to make the dress. I was so thrilled with the outcome it looked like something off the run way. I am just thinking of what she could make for me next. Susie is incredibley efficient, hard working and passionate about your dress. I couldn’t recommend her enough."
I helped this gorgeous bride with the alterations to her beautiful David Tutera gown and made a veil from ivory tulle.
I also made two bridesmaid dresses from teal satin with a chiffon bodice and skirt overlay and ruched teal satin at the waistline.
"Susie made the whole pre wedding experience more enjoyable than I could of hoped for. I like the idea of looking like a princess the actual doing fills me with nerves. The experience was relaxed, professional, accommodating appointments, never felt rushed. Susie designed and made bridesmaid dresses, mother of the bride outfit and flower girl dress for my 4 year old, making us all feel so special and unique. Thank you Susie"
I also made this cute flowergirl dress from pale pink satin and the bodice had a lace overlay with 3d pink flowers. The multi-layered petticoat was edged with pink satin The perfect dress for twirling in.

This gorgeous Mother of the Bride wanted an outfit that was smart and comfortable. Not being a dress person she was a bit unsure what to wear. She knew what colours she liked and she wanted a floral top. Once we found that fabric everything else fell into place.
The jacket was a loose swing jacket in aqua satin. The top with a cowl neckline had a beautiful floral pattern that we cut to be assymetric and we completed the outfit with a pair of navy trousers.

"Susie did a marvellous job in creating and making the " mother of the bride" outfit. I enjoyed having my input in the process too. I felt wonderful on THE DAY and I was told by a guest that I looked beautiful. Now I don't think this has ever happened to me before. So it was thanks to Susie for all her patience and skill. So happy"
This Ivory halterneck 1950's style dress had a ballerina length pleated skirt with multi-layers of net petticoat.
This lovely bride wanted to reflect her scottish heritage and decided to have the layers of the net petticoat edged in tartan silk and the buttons at the back were also covered in the matching tartan.
"Susie is amazing at her job She made everything about my dress perfect from measurements to finishing touches"
The bridesmaids were made in a similar 1950's style in the colours of the tartan. Purple satin for the dress and the net petticoat had layers of green, white and blue net edged in satin. There was also a tartan band at the waist to bring it all together.
